I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
